The Pacific National Exhibition ("PNE") collects personal information through TicketLeader where reasonably necessary to provide ticketing and related services, process transactions, administer customer accounts, support event operations, communicate with customers, maintain security, and meet legal obligations, in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) and other applicable laws.

This Privacy Notice explains how the PNE collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information through TicketLeader, the circumstances in which personal information may be shared, and how individuals may exercise their privacy rights or contact the PNE with questions regarding the handling of their personal information.

Collection of Personal Information

TicketLeader collects personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide ticketing services, process transactions, administer customer accounts, support event operations, communicate with customers, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

The PNE collects personal information through TicketLeader where necessary to provide ticketing and related services and in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) and other applicable laws.

To use TicketLeader services, individuals are required to create a TicketLeader account. Personal information is collected when individuals create or manage their account, purchase tickets or related products, register for events or activities, subscribe to communications, contact customer service, participate in promotions or surveys, use TicketLeader websites or digital services, or otherwise interact with TicketLeader.

Depending on the circumstances, TicketLeader may collect personal information including contact information, account information, payment and transaction details, purchase history, event attendance information, communication preferences, and technical information relating to the use of TicketLeader websites and services.

Where practicable, personal information is collected directly from the individual. In some circumstances, information may also be collected from authorized representatives, event organizers, service providers, government agencies, or publicly available sources where authorized or permitted by law.

Use of Personal Information

TicketLeader uses personal information for purposes reasonably connected with its operations, including:

• processing ticket purchases, registrations, and transactions;
• administering customer accounts;
• providing customer service and support;
• communicating event information, schedule changes, venue requirements, service updates, and transactional notices;
• administering admissions, ticket validation, exchanges, transfers, and refunds;
• managing contests or promotional activities;
• preventing fraud and unauthorized transactions;
• maintaining the security and integrity of TicketLeader systems and services;
• planning, evaluating, and improving services and customer experience;
• conducting business administration, audit, and operational activities; and
• meeting legal, regulatory, reporting, and operational requirements.

Marketing & Communications

Where individuals have subscribed to receive newsletters, promotional offers, event announcements, or other marketing communications, or where otherwise permitted by law, TicketLeader may use personal information to provide those communications in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), where applicable.

Individuals may withdraw their consent or unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the communication or by contacting TicketLeader. Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not affect the delivery of transactional or service-related communications relating to purchases, customer accounts, or events.

Disclosure of Personal Information

TicketLeader may disclose personal information where authorized or required by law, where necessary to provide ticketing and related services, or with the consent of the individual, where appropriate.

Personal information may be shared with service providers that support TicketLeader operations, including providers of ticketing technology, payment processing, website hosting, customer communications, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and other services necessary to operate and support TicketLeader. These service providers are contractually required to protect personal information, use it only for authorized purposes, and maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

Personal information may also be disclosed to law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, courts, public bodies, or other organizations where authorized or required by law, or where necessary to protect public safety, security, legal rights, or the operational integrity of TicketLeader services.

The PNE does not sell personal information.

Cookies, Analytics & Digital Services

TicketLeader websites may use cookies, analytics tools, pixels, and similar technologies to support website functionality, manage customer accounts and user sessions, process transactions, understand website usage, maintain website security, evaluate communications, and improve services.

Technical information, including Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, device information, referring website, pages visited, and website activity, may be collected through automated technologies.

Information collected through analytics tools is generally used in aggregated or de-identified form to understand website performance, visitor trends, and service effectiveness.

Individuals may adjust browser settings to refuse, delete, or manage cookies; however, doing so may affect the functionality of certain TicketLeader features and services.

Online Transactions & Payment Information

TicketLeader collects and processes payment, billing, transaction, and account-related information in connection with ticket purchases, registrations, memberships, merchandise sales, and related services.

TicketLeader uses third-party ticketing technology and payment processing providers to facilitate online ticket sales, account management, and payment processing.  These providers are contractually required to protect personal information, use it only for authorized purposes, and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the services they provide.

Payment information is processed using secure payment technologies and managed in accordance with applicable legal, contractual, and payment industry requirements, where applicable.

Customer Accounts

A TicketLeader account is required to purchase tickets and access TicketLeader services. Customer accounts enable TicketLeader to process transactions, manage ticket purchases, provide access to digital tickets, administer admissions, facilitate exchanges or refunds where applicable, communicate important event and account information, and provide customer support.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for ensuring that the information associated with their account remains accurate and up to date. Customers should not share their account credentials with others.

TicketLeader uses account information to authenticate users, administer customer accounts, and provide requested services.

Event Communications

TicketLeader may send communications relating to events for which an individual has purchased or registered for tickets. These communications are provided as part of the ticketing service and help customers prepare for and attend an event.

Event communications may include purchase confirmations, electronic tickets, "Know Before You Go" information, event reminders, venue and accessibility information, parking and transportation information, security notifications, service updates, and other operational information relating to an event or a customer’s purchase.

These communications are considered part of the services provided by TicketLeader and may be sent regardless of an individual's marketing communication preferences. Choosing not to receive marketing communications will not affect the delivery of transactional or event-related communications necessary to administer ticket purchases, customer accounts, or attendance at an event.

Security & Retention

TicketLeader implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction.

Security measures may include encryption, secure transmission methods, access controls, monitoring, authentication, monitoring, and other safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

While TicketLeader takes reasonable steps to safeguard personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Personal information is retained in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, financial, audit, and records management requirements.

Access to personal information is restricted to authorized individuals who require the information to perform their duties or fulfill legal, operational, administrative, or security responsibilities.

Access to Information & Privacy Rights

Individuals may request access to records containing their personal information or request correction of their personal information in accordance with FOIPPA, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Questions regarding the collection, use, disclosure, retention, or protection of personal information may be directed to the Privacy Officer.

Event Organizers and Third-Party Events

TicketLeader provides ticketing and related services for events presented by both the Pacific National Exhibition ("PNE") and third-party event organizers, promoters, venues, attractions, festivals, and other partners.

Regardless of who presents an event, personal information collected through TicketLeader is managed by the PNE in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable legal requirements.

The PNE does not routinely disclose customer personal information to third-party event organizers or promoters solely because TicketLeader provides ticketing services for their events. Personal information will only be disclosed where authorized or required by law, where necessary to deliver a requested service, or with the individual's consent, where appropriate.

Where individuals choose to interact directly with an event organizer or another third party through their own website, promotion, contest, or customer service channel, the collection and handling of personal information by that organization is governed by its own privacy practices. Individuals are encouraged to review the privacy policies of those organizations before providing personal information.

External Websites

TicketLeader websites may contain links to external websites, payment providers, event organizers, social media platforms, or third-party services that are not operated by TicketLeader or the PNE.

The PNE is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or operation of third-party websites or services. Individuals are encouraged to review the privacy policies of those organizations before providing personal information.

Children's Privacy

TicketLeader encourages parents and guardians to supervise children's use of online services.

Where TicketLeader collects personal information relating to minors, that information is handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Changes to this Privacy Notice

TicketLeader may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in legislation, technology, operational practices, business requirements, or services.

The "Last Updated" date at the top of this notice indicates when this Privacy Notice was most recently revised.
