Event Details

On Sunday, June 18^th, 2023 long-time Canadian event producers Ron Dhaliwal and Happy Joshi will partner on an exciting new event to be held at British Columbia’s most iconic venue – the PNE Fairgrounds. Taking over a large portion of the site, including the Playland Amusement Park and PNE Amphitheatre, the inaugural South Asian Family Festival (SAF Festival) will welcome thousands of guests of all ages for a fun, family-friendly event and include rides, music, arts, and culture in a full day of programming.

The full-day event will include a myriad of events. International musicians and artists will grace the stage, providing on-going entertainment for the crowds, multicultural dances, and parades. Various designers will feature the latest trends during the fashion show. In addition, there will be Street food pavilions, a Bazaar, where cultural products, traditional jewelry and costumes will be on display for shopping. 

The event will run from 12:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday, June 18^th and is anticipated to be the largest South Asian Family music and cultural event in Western Canada.
